Jaxon decorates his Pringles can instrument!

Get your dancing shoes on for a family jam session! Get the kids together to not only make some music, but build some instruments, too. This is a fun activity that requires creativity and teaches the kids a little more about music and making things.

What You Need:

- Empty water bottles, Pringles cans, cans or whatever you have in the recycling bin and can add some kind of cover to.

- Beans, rice or cereal (anything that will make a good shaking sound, get creative!)

How To:

Set up an assembly station so the kids can choose their bottle, their shaking materials as well as decorate. Provide paint, stickers, markers and anything else you may have around the house to customize their instruments. Fill each bottle with a variety of materials - see how many different kinds of sounds you can make! Just be sure to leave some room for the materials to move around.

Once you are done be sure to seal the bottle with the cap and some tape so you can get shakin'!
